Interpersonal Communications

"Talk to me..."

You might need to improve your interpersonal communication skills.  Having excellent interpersonal skills helps you relate better to others, and for them to relate to you.  It encourages friendships and good relationships of any kind, and makes them happen almost effortlessly.  Here is a short list of interpersonal communication skills that are taught at 3V Communications:

* Body Language – being observant and correctly interpreting the right cues and clusters will give you an absolute edge in your meetings, interviews, presentations, and social functions like parties and on dates.  Once you learn the power of visual communication, you can also control the message you want to send out to others.  The art and science of body language works both ways, so that you can present yourself better and you can read others better.  (Go directly to our Body Language Page HERE:)

* Charisma – Leaders have it, and we want it.  Developing your personal charm and charisma through communication training will help you both interpersonally and professionally to make connections, be memorable, be respected and be interesting to others.

* Confident Communications – building confidence, building success.  Build greater self-awareness and self-esteem; develop confident verbal, vocal and visual communication habits that last and impact how you feel, act, look, sound and relate to others.

* First Impression Management– It takes just a few seconds for someone to make up their mind about you.  If you want to make a winning first impression each time you meet people, learn the secrets of first impression management.  After all, life is series of first impressions, over and over again!

*  Listening Skills – A great communicator is not a great speaker.  A great communicator is a great listener!  Develop real active listening that goes beyond paraphrasing and nodding.  Without great listening skills you may end up being just a loud talker!

* NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Fundamentals – this is the science of understanding (mis-)communication, how people interpret information, how to build rapport and relate to anyone on their terms, how to condition yourself to be a more effective communicator, and how to use influencing words and phrases to persuade people with less resistance.  Fun stuff!

* Rapport-Building Techniques – building rapport means getting people to feel comfortable with you.  When that happens they trust you and what you say more, and they open up to you as well.  This is very beneficial at interviews, on dates, in meetings and at social functions.  Rapport-building is a natural occurrence in human interactions, but we teach you how to make the magic happen quickly and covertly.

* Small Talk – Learn the art of what to say and not to say, how to start a conversation with anyone at anytime, and what words to pay attention to in your conversation partner.  Never let the dreaded silence fill the air again!

“I needed to communicate more effectively and build rapport with co-workers and new acquaintances.  Private coaching has helped me break down and  understand a more step-by-step process to communications, so they are  easy to understand and apply to everyday life.”  Lisa B., Nutritionist, Gymnastics Coach,  Thornhill, ON

“One of the important things I learned is how to react to unfair comments or situations in a “civilized way”– so that I do not feel bad about my reaction after, and I do not over-react either…In my case, it changed my life experience.”  Maria, software programmer, Toronto

“I wanted to improve my confidence and be a better communicator.  I now understand where my negative feelings come from, and how to manage them, as well as control negative ‘self-talk’.  Elizabeth L., Dietician, North York

“I wanted to improve my speaking, small talk and calmness in social situations…I felt confident he could help me even in our first meeting by his own confidence and way of speaking.  Since coaching my confidence and comfort talking to strangers has really increased.”  C. Jackson, Administrative Assistant

“It was great to have a coach to help you regain confidence and take on new challenges, like speed-dating!  I am much more prepared to interact and make a good first impression.”  John D., Mississauga, ON
